The Poker Lobotomy
Learn Poker in Your Sleep. ASMR, decision science, tilt, variance and mental rehearsal for the quiet hours.
I’ve been building something new at the intersection of poker, decision science, mental rehearsal and pre-sleep learning.
It’s called The Poker Lobotomy — Learn Poker in Your Sleep. The idea is simple: take the noisy parts of poker—tilt, variance, impatience, bad outcomes and overconfidence—and turn them into calm, repeatable decision protocols that can be listened to at night.
This is not casino hype. It is not bad-beat theater. And it is not another collection of hand charts. It is a series about decision quality under uncertainty.
Judgment is the subject.
The next decision is the product.
The series grows out of the ideas in Luck Is Probability Taken Personally and The Asymmetrical Life, but the larger subject is judgment: how do we make better decisions when the information is incomplete, the outcome is uncertain, and emotion wants a vote?
Delete the tilt. Keep the signal. Install the decision.
